Obituary

Retired USAF Lt. Colonel Luther (Lee) Kennedy, 84, passed away on July 22, 2022. He was born on September 23, 1937 in Culleoka, Tennessee to the late Raymond and Helen (Smith) Kennedy in Columbia, Tennessee. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Eleanor (Nell) Kennedy and siblings; Raymond A. Kennedy, Blair K. Kennedy and Barbara Vaughn.

He is survived by children Karen Buzzo of VA and Edward (Tawny) Kennedy of OH, grandsons; Travis (Aubri) Buzzo, Colby and Clayton Kennedy, and one great grandchild.

He proudly served and retired from the United States Air Force and ROTC instructor at Westland High school in Columbus. A visitation will be held on Friday July 29, 2022 from 1-2pm with a memorial service starting at 2pm the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street. Inurnment will follow at Flint Cemetery, 8187 Flint Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43235.
