Obituary

Rachael, age 97, left us Sunday, December 31, 2023, to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Rachael Tate Blake was born Saturday, September 4, 1926, to John Tate and Stella Peterson Tate. Rachael retired from Grant Hospital. She loved spending time with her children, sewing and bowling. Rachael was preceded in death by both parents; husband, George Blake; brothers, Curtis, John Jr., and Ova; sisters, Grace Hamilton, Mildred Bass, and Betty Parker; and daughter, Nancy Simpson. Rachael leaves to cherish her memory, beloved sister, Hazel Jones; special nephew, George Hamilton; sons, George (Alyce), Russel (Lorna) and Ronald; daughter, Arlene; 10 grandchildren; and their children; nieces; nephews; and relatives; and friends.
