Carrie Nell (Hunt) Thompson, age 90, of Worthington, sweetly passed away at home, August 27, 1997. Preceded in death by husband William E., parents Arthur and Nettie Hunt, sons Robert M. (Mozella) and Walter E. Thompson, daughter Marlene Smith, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Survived by son-in-law Lester L. (Margaret) Thompson; daughter-in-law, Nancy Thompson; son-in-law Jesse Smith; sister Florence Clay of Los Angeles; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; special nephew, John Beatty; host of friends and relatives. Member St. John's AME Church for over 70 years. Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 1997 ar the Rutherford-Corbin Chapel 515 High St., Worthington with Rev. Hurdie Billingslea Jr. officiating. Friends may call 1 hour prior to service on Saturday. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery.
