Obituary

Charles E. (Chad) Countiss, 69, died June 4, 1999 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Chad was born in Galesburg, Ill., graduated from the Univ. of Illinois, Champaign, Urbana in 1952. He served in Korea with the 7th Division Artillery Unit. Chad founded Crown Services Temporary Personnel, Inc. in 1968 and served as CEO until his recent illness claimed his strength in March, 1999. He was an avid pilot and loved flying around the country in his "Tiger" and was a member of the QB's. Preceded in death by first wife Annette Spencer Countiss and parents Mr. And Mrs. John B. Countiss. Survived by Carol, wife of 22 years; son, John Spencer (Stacy) Countiss, M.D. of Grants Pass, Or.; daughter, Deborah (Duff) Countiss Lindsay of Upper Arlington, Oh.; grandsons, William Charles Lindsay and Charles R. (Chad) Countiss; 2 sisters; and many nieces and nephews; and loving friends and associates. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 7 at 4 p.m. at The Weir-Arend Funeral Home 4221 N. High St. (3blks south of Henderson Rs.) Ph. 268-3593 where family will receive friends after the service. Private family interment at Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Columbus, Oh. Or to Hospice of Mt. Carmel West, 1144 Dublin Rd., Columbus, Oh.
