George Wesley Purtee, age 63, of Columbus, Wednesday, July 6, St. Anthony Hospital. Retired from Rockwell International and Worthington Public Schools. Survived by wife Jo Anne; daughters Mrs. Dick (Donna) Reed, Mrs. Quinn (Karen) Schwartz, & Barbara Pitts; grandchildren Matthew, Gabriel, Wesley, Nicholas, Denise, & Keith; brother Leland; sisters Irene Ruth, Betty Newtson, Johanne Grannon; nieces & nephews. Member Maize Manor United Methodist Church. Veteran WWII, U.S.Navy. Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 525 High St., Worthington. Rev. Lowell Nelson officiating.
