Gladys E. Mengert, age 81, Sunday, March 19, 1978 of Wesley Glen Retirement Center of 5155 N. High Street. Widow of Kay G. Mengert. Survived by cousins, Mr. Arno M. Garns of Riverside, California, Mr. Jack Whitton of Bryan, Ohio; aunt Mrs. Ida C. Myers of Mishawaka, Indiana; a number of friends also survive. Member of North Broadway United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Club and Chapter CF of PEO Sisterhood, Clinton League, Book Lovers Club. Funeral service will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. at the Weir-Arend Funeral Home, 4221 N. High Street, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Dr. William E. Smith officiating.
