Gordon R. Silcott, age 89, Long time resident of Worthington, Sunday, June 8, 1984 at home. Owner of Worthington Coal and Supply Co. and retired Station Manager Columbus Dispatch, Worthington area. Veteran of WW I and in 37th Division Ohio National Guard. Graduate of Ohio University, Athens, Oh, preceded in death by wife, Virginia. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, George Sr. and Gerry Silcott, Worthington; grandchildren, Sue and Rick Bryant, Georg, Cheryl Silcott, George Jr. and Molly Silcott, Mindy Silcott; great-grandchildren, Adam, Lisa and Stephanie Bryant, George Silcott III. Member of Worthington United Presbyterian Church, New England Lodge 4 F and AM, Leasure Blackston Worthington Post 239. Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, July 12 RUTHERFORD-CORBIN CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington. Dr. Lorrin Kreider officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, 12 noon until 2 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Masonic service 8 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn.
