Harold B. Jones, age 79, of Worthington, Thursday, March 11, 1999, Riverside Hospital. Preceded in death by mother Minerva Vaughn and half-brother, Ellsworth Williams. Survived by wife, Juanita; sons, Dennis (Sonyan), Paul (Ruth) Jones; daughters, Barbara (Paul) McCauley, Susan (Rev. Jeffrey) Leath and Karen (Carleton) Coleman; 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; sister, Helen Hall; other relatives and friends. Member and Associate Pastor of St. John AME Church, Worthington and Northern Kiwanis of Columbus. Retired from Worthington Public School System. Internationally known vocalist. Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday, March 15, 1999 at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High St. Worthington. Pastor Hurdie Billingslea Jr. officiating. Family will receive friends sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery. Special gifts and /or remembrances in memory of Harold Jones may be made to St. John AME Church or Northern Kiwanis.
