Herbert Emlyn Evans, age 79, Wednesday, Oct. 24, 1979, Doctors Hospital, of 944 Lynbrook Rd. Survived by wife, Ella W. Evans; son, Richard M. Evans, Columbus; daughter, Mrs. Frederick (Jane) Hood, Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Mrs. Owen (Alwena) Richards, New York City; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild also survived Retired President of Peoples Broadcasting System. Vice President Nationwide Insurance Co. Member of First Community Church, Board of Trustees, Doctors Hospital, Board of Directors OSU-TV, National Board YMCA. Family requests no calling hours. Funeral service Saturday 10 a.m. First Community Church. Private burial Walnut Grove Cemetery. Doctor Harold N. Englund officiating.
