Irma B. Walters, 78, of 5155 N. High Street, Columbus, formerly of 269 Medick Way, Worthington, Saturday, May 30, 1981, Riverside Hospital. Survived by husband Marion H. Walters; daughter Shirley W. Applegate, Alexandria, Va.; son Jack D. Walters, Dublin, Oh.; grandchildren Sarah, Rachel & Mary Applegate, Alexandria, Va., Mark Applegate, Humble, Tex., Mitzi W. Mannella, Fr. Wayne, Ind., Kristine W. Slager & Elizabeth W. Essig, of Columbus, Oh., Jennifer & Carl Walters, of Dublin, Oh. & 5 great-grandchildren. Attended University of Nebraska and graduate of Iowa State University in Diatetics. Member of the Worthington United Methodist Church, Alpha Gamma Delta. Taught in Worthington School System. Active in American Red Cross Blood Mobile. Member of the Worthington Historical Society, Worthington Women's Club, Committee of Seventeen of Wesley Glen. Funeral service 1 pm Wednesday, Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington. Dr. W. Edge Dixon officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday. Contributions may be made to the Worthington United Methodist Church or Wesley Glen, 5155 N. High Street, Columbus.
