John Dwight Loomis, age 87, of Worthington, Monday, October 18, 1999 at The Laurels of Worthington. Retired after 25 years service from Columbus Auto Parts. Industrial Engineer, graduate of M.I.T. Survived by wife of 63 years, Anita Loomis of Worthington; daughters, Lynne (Robert) Norton, Marriottsville, MD., Fredrica (George) Spurgeon, Westerville, OH, and Jeanne Stephens, Washington C.H., OH; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Former Trustee for Sharon Township for 28 years, he was instrumental in the development of the old Sharon Twp. Fire Dept. Member of Leatherlips Yacht Club. Private family service to be held, Dr. Thomas Joseph officiating. In lieu of flowers, family requests that contributions be made to the Worthington Fire Dept. in his memory.
