Obituary

John F. Mays, age 92, Friday, at Alum Crest Convalescent Center. Preceded in death by wife Ethel Mays. Survived by nephews, Charles and Stewart Kirk of New York City, Gregory Watson of Los Angeles, Calif., Marc and Karlos Watson; niece, Karol Watson; many other relatives and friends. Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul AME Church, 639 E. Long Street. Rev. Michael Bean officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Chapel of C.D. White and Son Funeral Home, 1217 Mt. Vernon Avenue.
