John W. Auckerman, Sr., age 74, of 237 E. Weisheimer Rd., Columbus, died Friday at home. Retired facilities engineer for Ohio Bell Telephone Co. Survived by wife, Helen O.; son, John W. Auckerman, Jr. of Delaware, Oh.; daughter, Mrs. Dorwin (Joyce) Clements of Columbus, Oh.; granddaughter Jennifer Rebecca Auckerman of Delaware; brothers Jacob Auckerman of Dayton, OH.; sister, Mrs. Harod (Elsie) Johnson of Dayton, Oh.; several nieces and nephews. Member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church, York Lodge No. 563 F&AM, and the Telephone Pioneers. Service 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High St., Worthington. Dr. Newton Fritchly officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Griends will be received at the funral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Masonic service 8 p.m. Monday.
