Obituary

Leona Gates, age 90, of Pickerington and formerly of Kokomo, Ind., Wednesday, November 23, 1994, Yorkshire Health Care Center, Columbus, Ohio. Survived by daughter, Phyllis (Clark) Mead of Columbus; step-son, Jack (Alice) Olpp of Newark; daughter-in-law, Jean Jennings of Hilliard; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 nephew. Preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Jennings, Carl Olpp and Clifford Gates; parents, Fred and Hannah Jewett; brothers, Robert and Martin Jewett; sister-in-law, Dollie Jewett; step-son, Theodore Olpp; son, Harold Jennings; and daughter-in-law, Zora Jennings. Friends may visit Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Rd. N. (St. Rt. 256) Pickerington, where the funeral service will be held Tuesday 10 a.m. with Rev. Roy E. Godfrey officiating. Cremation will follow with interment Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington, Ohio.
