Obituary

Lewis W. Comer, age 72, of Worthington, Saturday, June 4, 1994 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Retired mechanical engineer with the firm of Comer & Passe. Mr. Comer was a graduate of the University of Southern California. School of Engineering and was a WWII US Navy Veteran. Preceded in death by his parents Harrison and Nancy Comer. Survived by his wife, Norma Jane Comer of Columbus; sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Debbie Comer of Worthington, and Jim and Beverly Comer of Holt, Mich.; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Harvey Sugarman of Lorain, OH.; grandsons, Michael, Jason and Nicholas Comer; granddaughter, Ericka Sugarman; brothers, Harrison Comer of Ft. Worth, Tex., Bob, James, Donald and Richard Comer, all of Springfield, Oh.; sister, Avonell Wade of Springfield, Oh.; sister-in-law, Maxine Meagher of Columbus; several nieces and nephews. Member of Anthony Lodge #455 F&AM, Springfield, Oh., National Society of Professional Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Past President of Ashrae and Worthington Hills County Club, and was a former member of Brookside Country Club. A Memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 1994 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, with Rev. David Ullery officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 am. Until service time. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association of Central Ohio, 1580 King Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43212.
