Obituary

KING Lorna Marlene King, age 77, of Columbus, passed away Monteray Care Center, March 16, 2011. She was born October 23, 1933 in Troy, Ohio to the late Ray and Ruth Poling. Lorna was a loving mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by grandson Gary Carpenter Jr., siblings Kenneth Poling, Keith Poling and Kay Poling. Survived by her children, Robin (Chris) McMillen, Gary Carpenter, Rae Jean Thompson, Karen Fohner, and Lisa King; sister, Maxine (Marshall) Wright; brother, Kirby (Edith) Poling; grandchildren Jennifer (Gerald) Cooke, Justin Thompson, Jordan Thompson, Dennis (Pon) Sonner, Beth Carpenter, Todd Carpenter; great-grandchildren, Monica Sonner, Aurora Cooke, Jerry Cooke, and Kerrie Cooke; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday March 18, 2011 at the O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St. from 5 p.m until time of service at 7 p.m. Pastor Jim Blankenship officiating. Interment Walnut Hill Cemetery.
