Pearl H. (Shorty) Allerton, age 80, 251 East Royal Forest Blvd., Columbus, Friday, Riverside Hospital. Retired barber. Survived by wife, Helen; son, Kenneth R. Allerton, Columbus; daughter, Mrs. Robert (Irene) Chapin, Worthington; daughter-in-law, thelma Allerton, Lykens, Ohio; granddaughters, Susan Chapin, Sonie Hunsaker, Marjorie Reed, all of Worthington; great-grandchildren, Amy and Joey; brothers Herbert Allerton, Columbus; sister, Ruth Campbell, Pensacola, Fla.; many nieces; nephews and friends. Member of Worthington United Methodist Church. Funeral service 11:30 a.m. Monday Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High St., Worthington. Doctor W. Edge Dixon officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
