Obituary

MAHANEY Philip Roger Mahaney, age 72, died Friday, December 7, 2007, at Kobacker Hospice. Born September 23, 1935, Philip attended North High School, graduated from Ohio State University, was a member of Kappa Sigma, and married Barbara, his wife for more than 50 years. His family and many friends knew him as "Flip" and will remember him as a kind, witty man who was devoted to his family-and to the Buckeyes! He built a long and successful career at Diamond Shamrock Chemical Corporation. He is survived by Barbara; his daughter, Alicia and son, Lance; his daughter-in-law, Patti; his grandson, Kyle Philip; his brother, Richard; his sisters-in-law, Dotty and Rose; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. His parents Carl and Thelma and his brother Carl preceded him in death. Calling hours will be held Monday, December 10, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. at Overbrook Presbyterian Church, 4131 N. High St., followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. Private Interment. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by SOUTHWICK-GOOD & FORTKAMP FUNERAL CHAPEL.
