Porter J. Darby, age 91, formerly of Worthington, Thursday, October 27, 1983 in Athens, Ga. Retired Worthington Postman. Preceded in death by wife, Willamette Michael Darby. Survived by 2 daughters, Roberta Rosenberg, Pal Alto, Calif. And Shirley Ann Helms, Athens, Ga.; 5 grandchildren. Veteran WWI. Charter member of Worthington American Legion Post #239. Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday, Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High St., Worthington, with the Rev. Don Peterson officiating. Friends may call at the Funeral home 1 hour prior to the service. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Worthington American Legion Post #239 or charity of choice. American Legion service at the funeral home 8 p.m. Tuesday.
