Obituary

TROUT Van A. Trout, 86, of Worthington, Saturday, February 9, 2002 at home. Van was a graduate of Findlay College and received his Masters degree from Ohio State University. He was a Veteran WWII U.S Army Air Corp and was a teacher and assistant football coach at Worthington High School and later worked in the insurance industry where he obtained his CLU. He was a member of the Worthington Boosters, the New England Masonic Lodge #4 F & AM, Aladdin Temple Shrine, Worthington United Methodist Church and the Downtown Columbus Kiwanis. He was an avid golfer. Preceded in death by brothers Richard and Robert Trout. Survived by wife of 63 years, Virginia "Dolly" and daughters, Ann (Nick) Norman and Sue (George) Worthley; grandchildren, Mike (Clair) Norman, Penny (Tony) Sobolewski, Amy (Josh) Storm, Emily (Rolf) Smith and Mark Worthley; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Kathleen, Abby and Josey; sister, Dorothy Brown of Findlay and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2002 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High Street, Worthington where friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday. Rev. David C. Trout (nephew) officiating. Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery. Masonic service 7:30 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Van's memory to Grant/Riverside Hospice, 3595 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, Oh. 43214.
