Obituary

Virginia E. Chapin, 77, of Columbus, Sunday, February 14, 1999 at Wesley Glen. Virginia was born south of Vanlue, OH on 2-23-1921, where she attended school. She went to beauty school in Toledo, OH in 1940 and soon after settled in Worthington. Preceded in death by her father Merle, mother Etta, brother Caroll and sisters Audra, Beebe and Ardeth. Survived by husband John Wesley; son, Leland (Shannon) Chapin; granddaughter, Mary Katherine; brother, David L. (Jean) Thomas of Findlay, OH; several nieces, nephews and many friends; special friend, Bernice Meyers; brother-in-law, Robert (Irene) Chapin of Worthington; and sister-in-law Peggy Chapin of Harrisburg, OH. There will be no calling hours, as it was Virginia's desire to be remembered in life not death. A private gravesideservice will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Arthur Crawford, Pastor of Riverside Bible Church officiating. Arrangements by Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, Worthington Chapel.
