Walter Rj. Beard, age 75, of 2339 W. Granville Rd. Worthington. Died Friday at home. Survived by mother Bessie Beard of Worthington; sisters Mrs. Lawrence (Rhea) Henson of Lexington, Ky., Mrs. John (Charlotte) Southard of Worthington; 2 nephews; 1 niece. Member of Linworth United Methodist Church, New England Lodge No. 4 F&AM and Chi Omega Fraternity. Attended Ohio State University. Funeral service 1 p.m. Tuesday Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High St., Worthington, where family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Masonic Service 8 p.m. Monday.
