Veteran World War II, Staff of Chief of Naval Air Training Plan & Program, Corpus Christi, Tex. Formerly employed at North American Rockwell. Survived by wife Viola; son John L. Whitney, Eauclaire, Wis.; sister Mrs. Fran Newman; brother Harry Whitney, both of Rochester, N.Y.; 1 grandchild. Member of Society Weight Engineers, American Legion and Foreign Wars. Friends will be received at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday, where funeral will be 10 am Saturday. Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery.
