A group of school children are shown in front of one of the two school buildings located on East Granville Road where Kilbourne Middle School now stands. The boy second from the left in the third row is identified as William Snouffer. A combined elementary and high school building was constructed at the location in 1874, and a separate high school built next to it in 1893.
