The view on this postcard shows West State Street (now Granville Road, Rt. 161) looking west toward the Olentangy River.

The ford at the Olentangy was important to the economic life of Worthington, as Dublin to the west and Granville to the east provided many opportunities for commerce. A bridge was built to cross the river during the early 20th century.
