Background
This mural tapestry depicting Worthington Schools currently hangs in Kilbourne Middle School. It was created by Gale Michael, an art instructor in Worthington with the assistance of art student Betty Pefferele. The schools represented are the log cabin school house that was built on the Village Green in 1803, the "one room brick" school building dating 1826, "town hall" (Sharon Township Hall) constructed 1856, "medical college" 1870, "elementary schools" 1874 and 1893, "high school" (Annex) 1916 and "elementary school" (now Kilbourne Middle School) 1938.
