Background

Worthington's sesquicentennial was celebrated with a Sesquicentennial Week October 5-11, 1953. This information booth was staffed by community volunteers. It was located on the southwest quadrant of the Village Green. Historic tours of twenty-one sites were offered each day throughout the week. Every day had a theme: Monday was Armed Services Day, Tuesday Clubs' Day, Wednesday Fraternal Orders Day, Thursday Schools' Day, Friday Business Day, Saturday Good Neighbors' Day and Sunday Home Coming Day.
