Third Grade Week
Basic details
Background
A third grade student takes part in Third Grade Week activities on the Village Green. Third Grade Days began in 1966 as a partnership between Worthington Schools and Worthington Historical Society. Every third grade student in the Worthington School District participates. Students dress in pioneer style clothing and complete a study of local history with visits to the Orange Johnson House museum, the cemetary at St. John's Episcopal Church, and the Village Green for lessons, tours, and games. The student pictured here plays a traditional game with hoops and sticks.
