Background

This flyer publicized a young adult/parent book discussion series at the Worthington Public Library in 1970. Topics for discussion reflected societal issues of the time such as human relations, drug use, protest, and youth conflict. The Worthington Public Library established a Young Adult program in 1945, hiring Marguerite Carder as to fill the position. Worthington was first public library in Franklin County to hire a trained young adult librarian.
