Frank Welling

Background
Frank Welling (b. 1885, d. 1977) is pictured on the front steps of the Orange Johnson House on the day of its dedication as an historic house museum. Mr. Welling served as 1st deputy of the Supreme Court of Ohio from 1927-1948. He lived most of his life in Worthington and was active in many community organizations, including the Worthington Historical Society. The house, located at 956 High St., was purchased by the Worthington Historical Society in 1963 and fully restored over the following decade. The Orange Johnson House Museum was dedicated on October 7, 1972.
