Background

This political campaign card was used by Worthington Columbus "W.C." Lewis (b. 1859, d. 1950), who served as mayor of Worthington from 1902 to 1905. Lewis also served on the Worthington Village Council, as the president of the Water Board, and as Justice of the Peace. He was a trustee and Sunday School Superintendent for Worthington Methodist Church. W.C. Lewis was also a member of the New England Lodge No. 4, the I.O.O.F., the Eastern Star, and the Chamber of Commerce.
