Background

This photograph, from the 1915 scrapbook of Harriet Griswold McCullough, captures the McCullough family Christmas tree from "last year", presumably 1914. Harriet Griswold McCullough was the daughter of Worthington Franklin and Fondelia Griswold, and was raised at the Griswold Inn on the northeast quadrant of the public square, now the Village Green. She married Edward "Miles" McCullough and at the time this photograph was taken, they resided at 202 East Granville Road with their two children, Edward and John.
