Basic details
Background
This color photograph shows (left to right) librarian Rachel Alexander and Barbara Groseclose at the Old Worthington Library for Alexander's wedding, which took place in the library that evening, May 8, 1982. The two are shown holding and looking at a bouquet, with Groseclose facing away from the camera. They are standing in front of a wall of bookshelves.
At the time, the Old Worthington Library was the only location of Worthington Libraries. Alexander's wedding to Bob Foulk took place that evening after the library closed, with food provided by staff and Worthington mayor Lawrence Braun serving as officiant.
Alexander worked for Worthington Libraries from 1976 to 1985, and again from 1997 to 2008; during that time she served many roles, including community services librarian, children’s librarian, youth services manager and youth services materials selector.
Groseclose is Professor Emeritus of Art History at The Ohio State University.
