Bernice Daniels, Judy Michaelson, Nancy Behling and Jo Osborne at the Old Worthington Library for Wedding, May 8, 1982
Basic details
Background
This color photograph shows a group gathered on the main floor of the Old Worthington Library on May 8, 1982, for librarian Rachel Alexander's wedding, which took place in the library. Four people are gathered in the foreground, from left to right: then-director Bernice Daniels, Judy Michaelson, Nancy Behling and Jo Osborne. A group of about seven people is visible in the background, with the bookshelves near the fireplace area behind them.
At the time, the Old Worthington Library was the only location of Worthington Libraries. Alexander's wedding to Bob Foulk took place that evening after the library closed, with food provided by staff and Worthington mayor Lawrence Braun serving as officiant.
Alexander worked for Worthington Libraries from 1976 to 1985, and again from 1997 to 2008; during that time she served many roles, including community services librarian, children’s librarian, youth services manager and youth services materials selector.
