Background
This edition of "The Chronicle," the Worthington High School student newsletter, covers several topics, including an exchange student from Japan, 300 members of the incoming freshman class, thirteen new teachers at the high school and sports teams.
The front page has a number of articles about students as they return to school:
"Exchange student Chie Okakie Hails from Hiroshima, Japan" gives biographical information about a visiting student and has an accompanying photograph.
"WHS Welcomes 300 Freshmen; Mr. Lane Urges Freshmen to Assume Obligation" is a letter written by Earl W. Lane, Principal, written to the Class of 1966 beginning high school.
"WHS Greets Thirteen New Teachers Today" provides introductions to new staff for the school year, including Marilyn Braun, Douglas Buford, James Campbell, Aurel Cazan, Fred Garrabrant, Noel Guitry, Fiona Travis, George Klein, Ralph Levering, Ronald Presuitti, Karen Steuart, Donald Wachtman, and Bernard Weiss.
Page Two of the newsletter looks at voting for Student Council, summer memories, cheerleading changes, marching band, and the custodians.
An article "Football Training Proves Rigorous" is accompanied by a photograph of three football players, Paul Jones, Dick Andrews and Jim Robison.
