This excerpt from Remembering Our Roots: Elmwood to Linworth, a history of Linworth, Ohio highlights local pioneer cemeteries and the efforts to preserve them. It features historic maps showing locations of pioneer cemeteries, photographs of various pioneer cemetery sites and members of the group concerned with their preservation. Local cemeteries which the group has worked to preserve include, the Kempton Cemetery (1819), the Davis Cemetery (1823), the Ferris Cemetery (1848), the Deardorff Cemetery (no date), the Wilcox Cemetery (no date), the Family Cemeteries in Elmwood, and the Goodrich Cemetery (1846) which was discovered after this document was written.
