Background

The Worthington Gleaner was a short-lived publication, and this February 1883 issue was the second issue printed. The newspaper contains articles about events in Worthington including the establishment of a local Ohio Women's Christian Temperance Union society, the abolishment of recess for the winter term at the Worthington School, the opening of a school [Ohio Central Normal School] in the old Seminary building in April and small local news items.
