James W. Faris, age 82, 415 W. 5th Ave. Sunday at home. Retired salesman. Survived by wife, Nina A.; son, James S., Santa Monica, Calif.; daughter, Mrs. Walter R. (E. Jane) Schucker, Columbus; grandsons, James Parker Faris, Arlington, Va., Richard Schucker and granddaughter Jan C. Schucker, both of Columbus. Member of St. James Episcopal Church. Service 11 a.m. Wednesday Rutherford Chapel, 2383 N. High St. Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery. Father George E. Johnson officiating. Friends received at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
