Wendell E. Durfey, age 62, of 4100 Liberty Rd., Delaware. Died late Thursday evening in the Grady Memorial Hospital. Retired employee of the Federal Postal Service. Veteran of WW II. Survived by wife, Olive; daughter, Mrs. Larry (Peggy) Bowen, Delaware, son, David O. Durfey also of Delaware; 4 granddaughters. Friends will be received at the Hanrahan-Pletcher Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware, Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Monday 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington. In lieu of flowers family requests contributions be made to a local Heart Association.
