L.D. (Red) Gardner, age 77, of Riverlea, Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1982, at home. Founder and former owner of the L.D. Gardner Insurance Agency. Graduate of Columbus North High School and Ohio State University. Survived by wife, Neva (Stoneburner) Gardner; sons and daughters-in-law, William D. and Joy Gardner, Chicago, Il., Richard S. and Helen Gardner, Columbus; grandchildren, Bruce Gardner, Hilton Head, S.C., Lori, Cherie and Scott Gardner, Chicago, Il.; Diane, Columbus, Rick, Seattle, Washington; cousin, Harriett Williams, Umatilla, Fla. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High St., Worthington, where family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Howard Buckley officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery.
