Dale J. Johnston, age 70 of 2985 W. Broad Street, Sunday at Monterey Nursing Home. Retired custodian at Westgate Elementary School. Survived by wife Gladys B.; daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Patricia) Samo of Columbus; son, Dale R. of Skyesville, Maryland; brother, Roy of Columbus; sister, Mrs. Bernadine Lewwe; 4 grandchildren. Member of Brookshire Methodist Church and Crest No. 2 of Alum Crest Hospital. Funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad where friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Earl Bishop officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Family suggest contributions may be made to the Brookshire Methodist Church Memorial Fund in memory of Dale Johnston.
