Background
The Worthington Historical Society received an "Award of Achievement for the Orange Johnson House" from the Ohio Association of Historical Societies during the 1974 annual meeting of the OAHS. Pictured here is Gordon Clark, President of the Worthington Historical Society, accepting the award from Vernon Burkhart, OAHS Awards Chairman. The award was in recognition of renovation and successful operation of the Orange Johnson House Museum, which is located at 956 High St. The house was opened to the public in 1972, following 10 years of restoration work.
