Background
"Black Pioneers in Education" was the theme of a program sponsored by St. John A.M.E. Church and held at the Worthington United Methodist Church on February 14, 1971. The event featured performances by the Worthington High School Choir, the Michael Frazier Ensemble and speakers Harold Horton and Mary Emma Washington. This booklet was prepared for distribution at the program and includes writings about the history of African American students' education in Worthington. The event was held in observance of Black History Week.
