Bluffsview Bicentennial Arts Open House
Basic details
Background
All grade levels at Bluffsview Elementary spent the 2002-2003 school year researching and participating in historic vocations and activities that enhanced their understanding of Worthington's heritage. Each grade learned about an early Ohio vocation or recreational activity and then created representative historic arts and crafts of Worthington. Students also learned songs, musical games, and dances popular in early Ohio. In the spring the school hosted a Bicentennial Arts Open House to spotlight Bluffsview's year-long project. Upon entering the school, visitors were welcomed with friendly faces and festive decorations. Art displays were located throughout the school. Musical performances and special projects focusing on famous Ohioans and Ohio interactive displays were also available for viewing.
