Caroline Mary Vest Long was the third daughter of Winfield P. and Cornelia G. Vest, born to the couple on March 11, 1883. Caroline married Carl Long, who ran Long’s Drug Store and had three children, William C., John, and Lawrence Long. She passed away on October 28 1971.

John Fredrick Long was born in Worthington to William Carl and Caroline Vest Long, who lived at 707 Morning St. He registered for the WWII draft in 1942 as a member of the US Engineers Department. John passed away in 1996.
