Background
Colonial Hills Elementary students and parents celebrated the 1950s with a float entry in the Worthington Bicentennial Homecoming parade. Both Colonial Hills Elementary School and Worthington Industries were established 1955. The two partnered to create an "Ice Cream Float" float for the parade.
This photograph depicts "Greasers or 50's Boys" riding the float in front of two large ice cream floats. The "Greasers or 50's Boys" were Drew Taylor, Alec Scott, Max Richards, Grayson Swingle, Peter Collins and Jasper Mitchin.
The float was constructed by Gayle Eiselt, Al and Julia Smyth, Sheila Green, Jen Richards, Seleen and Peter Collins.
