Corbin Family Reunion

The Corbin family gathers for a family reunion in Worthington.

Frank Goebel Corbin was a funeral director at his family’s business, S. E. Corbin Funeral Home. He married Edith Lewis in 1932 and had five children. He was active in Worthington and the surrounding area, having been a city council member and a board member for the Worthington Library. Corbin was a historian for the Worthington Historical Society and wrote "A walking tour of old Worthington: First center of culture in central Ohio" in 1969.

Cornelia Vest Corbin was married to Samuel Ellis Corbin of the S. E. Corbin and Son Funeral Home and was mother to Frank Corbin. She was one of the four daughters of Winfield and Cornelia Vest: Katherine, Caroline, Cornelia and Bertha. Cornelia was an active member of the Worthington community. She bought the Worthington Inn in 1936 and was a member and former organist of Worthington United Methodist Church as well as a trustee of the Worthington Library. She was also made an honorary life member of the Worthington Historical Society.
