Cyclist
Basic details
Background
An unidentified young woman is pictured in front of the old Worthington High School, located on East Granville Road. The bicycle became a popular mode of personal transportation during the 1890's. Women especially enjoyed the freedom that this new recreational activity provided.
Kilbourne Middle School, built during the 1930's, now occupies the plot where the High School stood.
