The Sharon Township Fire Department is shown responding to an industrial fire. Fire protection in the Worthington and Sharon Township was provided by the Sharon Township Fire Department from 1931-1993. The City of Worthington assumed responsibility for fire protection in 1993, two years after a new fire station was built at 6500 North High Street.
