Background
The Worthington Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) presented eleven historic flags of national and local significance to the Worthington Schools in honor of the nation's Bicentennial in 1976. Members of Cub Scout Troop 623 are shown here raising the 50 star flag during a special ceremony in which the flags and a Bicentennial Charter Oak were dedicated.
